Accessibility – Free Wheeler & Toilet

Beach Free Wheeler

A Beach Free Wheeler allows access to the sand and water’s edge for people who use wheelchairs or find it difficult to negotiate the beachfront.

This is available at no cost on weekends at Newport Beach.

Contact the volunteer lifesavers at the Patrol tent to obtain its use.

Accessible Toilet

The accessible toilet is fitted with an MLAK (Master Locksmiths Access Key System) key. The MLAK is a master key that fits into specially designed locks allowing 24 hour access to MLAK fitted accessible public toilets nationwide. You can purchase a key that opens all accessible toilets displaying the MLAK symbol. The key can be purchased directly from a Master Locksmith in your local area or you can complete the order form available from the Master Locksmiths website. To find your local locksmith use the Find a Master Locksmith on the Master Locksmiths website or call the Master Locksmiths on 03 9338 8822.

On weekdays, you can ask to borrow a key from the Council Lifeguards.
