We are pleased to announce that Newport SLSC will be seeking nominations from 30 June for the new Executive, Management Committee and Junior Activities Committee to take office and serve until July 2018.
Please consider contributing your time and energy to making Newport SLSC even better in the upcoming years by nominating for a position. A sign of a strong and sustainable club is having numerous members keen to run and serve on the Management Committee and the Junior Activities (Nippers) Committee. Procedure and Time Frame of the Election:
The nomination process of candidates for election as Office Bearers on the Management Committee and the Junior Activities Committee is as follows:
- Nominations are to be in writing, endorsed by two (2) members of the Club, on the Nominations Board (from 30 June).
- The nomination board will be closed to nominations and removed from display seven (7) days prior to the Annual General Meeting. The Annual General Meeting has been scheduled to be held at the surf club at 3:00 pm on Sunday the 30th July 2017,
- If the number of nominations received exceeds the number of vacancies to be filled, a ballot will be held whereby members of the club that are both financial and hold the Bronze Medallion are entitled to vote for candidates at the Annual General Meeting.
