Junior Lifesaver Of The Year (JLOTY) Awards

Congratulations to Ben Carroll and Abi Capell who represented Newport at the Branch office on Friday, 20 January for the JLOTY awards.

They had a fun-filled day with other youth members from a variety of clubs where they had the opportunity to have a go at the jet ski, discuss and watch how drones are used within surf lifesaving as well as chat with duty officers and discuss pathways within surf lifesaving. Followed by an interview later in the week.

Members of the interview panel highlighted how much our representatives felt like part of the Newport Surf Club community, which was great to hear.
