Launch the New Year with the Northern Beach’s favourite swim. The entries for the Pool to Peak Ocean Swim are now open. Three distances again this year: 800 m and 2 km, and 400 m for swimmers as young as 10.
If you won’t be swimming, please keep an eye on your mailbox for our call for volunteers. We will need help with setting up, water safety and pack down. The organising committee and club will be most grateful! This is one of our major fundraising events of the year.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- Date, Time – Sunday, January 5, 2020, start 9am (400 m), 9:15 (800 m), 10am (2 km) (Registration from 7:30 am)
- Where – Newport Beach, Sydney Northern Beaches
- Distances – 2km (10 am), 800 m (9:15), 400 m (9 am)
- Minimum age – 10 (400 m), 13 (800 m, 2 km)
- Course – circuits from the middle of Newport Beach
- Course maps will be displayed on the beach
- Registration – At Newport SLSC from 7:30 am to close 8:45 am (800 m) and 9:45 am (2 km)
- Entry fee: 2 km, 800 m, 400 m – $30 ($40 on race day), Two swims (400 m + 2 km, or 800 m + 2 km) – $45 ($60 on race day)
