Coolangatta Gold, 15 and 16 October 2022

We had a small team attend, and they came away with some fantastic results:

  • Conner Maggs took out the Open Men’s Short Course.
  • Piper Harrison and Emily Doyle 2nd and 3rd in the Open Women’s Short Course.
  • Jackson Borg 4th in Open men’s Long Course.
  • Phoebe Savage 8th Open Women’s Long Course.
  • Guyren Smith 2nd 50-59 Male Long Course.
  • Rebecca Capell 1st 40-49 Women’s Short Course.
  • Downwind Ski Female Jemma Smith 1st.

Youth Challenge

We also had some of the Nippers go up and compete in the youth challenge as well with some great results:

  • Noah Maggs 2nd u15
  • Charli Barbour 1st u14
  • Saddie Maggs 1st u13

Summer of Surf – Woolgoolga

Lizzie Welborn and Jackson Borg represented Australia at the World Cup Challenge where they both took out the point score for the day. In the main carnival, we had some fantastic results with Jemma Smith winning the ski event, Conner Maggs won the u17’s Ironman and the u17 swim. Other notable results were Olivia Clues 2nd u17 female ski, Noah Maggs 1st in the u15 swim and 2nd in the Ironman and Piper Harrison, Lizzie, Jackson and Charlie Brooks all making the iron person finals.

Other News

  • KNG Trials are set down for the 12th and 13th Nov at Tugan and we have 8 competitors going up to do the trial and hopefully join Jackson Borg in the Series.
  • Local carnivals start this month with Fast Fives at Nth Curl Curl and we had some fantastic results over the 5 rounds with Bella Cox and Zach Paul taking out the dash for cash in open category.
  • Call for Nominations for the NSW Team and also Super teams events in January have been posted for the athletes to nominate.
