On Saturday, 19 November, seven water masters (Nick Carroll, Laurence McCoy, Ashley Brown, Pat Quinlan, Felicity Peters, Amanda Lehman and Jan Proudfoot) headed to the annual Freshwater Masters Carnival.
It was great to have a male and female team compete again after having a break for a few years.
The conditions were quite challenging, and both teams did well as they finished 6th out of 20 clubs in the overall point score.
If you are over 30 and would like to get involved and have a bit of fun, please get in touch with Darren Warrener, our Director of Surf Sports.
We usually board train (with an occasional surf swim) at Palm Beach on Saturday mornings. Surf Ski training is on Sunday mornings, also at Palm Beach.
The Branch Championships will be held on Saturday, 28 January 2023, at Collaroy, and the NSW Champs will be held at Queenscliff on Wednesday, 1 March & Thursday, 2 March 2023.
And if you are looking for an excuse to head to WA, the Aussies are in Perth on Monday, 27 March and Tuesday, 28 March.
