2022 NSW Junior Championships News

After a successful and fun 2 days for our U9s – U12s competing last Thursday and Friday, it’s very unfortunate that State 2022 for our U13 – U15 age groups were cancelled due to poor water quality.

We can feel the disappointment across our State and hope that this will be rescheduled.

Our U13s – U15s have been training all season and for those who are competing at Aussies in April in QLD we wish them the best of luck – luckily in this sport, there will always be another carnival somewhere sometime. Newport currently sits at 10th spot on the point score so well done to all those who competed this week. Fantastic for such a little group.

• 2 Gold
• 4 Silver
• 1 Bronze

Once again thank you to Dave Barbour, all the wonderful parents, officials and water safety. And a special mention to Coach Aaron for preparing the younger athletes for some tough surf racing!
