Gotcha4Life Fun Run – 22 March 2020

According to the Bureau of Statistics (ABS) for 2017:

  • There were 65,300 suicide attempts in Australia, with over 3123 resulting in death.
  • More than eight people die each day in Australia by suicide.
  • Suicide is the leading cause of death for Australians between 15 and 44 years of age.
  • 75% of people who died by suicide are male and 25% female.

Sobering statistics.

Gus Worland is the host of the Triple M Sydney breakfast radio show The Grill Team.  Gus is also the founder of the Gotcha4Life Foundation and invites local surf clubs to join him and the team to raise awareness and funds to help build mental health and fitness in our community.

The organisation believes in the power of prevention through connection and champions the idea of proactively building mental fitness and the resilience required to deal better with the challenges that life throws at us.

The goal this year is $100,000 to fund mental health workshops and training programs.  Visit the website for details on the program at gotcha4lifefunrun.org or click through to the flyer HERE.
