Surf Life Saving Sydney Northern Beaches will finally hold its 27th annual fundraising golf day after a 2-year “COVID-19” break at Warringah Golf Club on Friday 16th September 2022. The Golf Day is the major source of income for the Surf Sports Interbranch team of approximately 50 young members including athletes and Officials. Funds raised will provide uniforms, transport, food and accommodation for the team.
This year’s fee per person to play is $140 which covers a light breakfast, lunch and Green fees. A hole sponsorship is $1000 which covers four players and ownership of a hole. Hole sponsors are invited to display promotional banners and materials at their hole and will have free on-course refreshments from the drinks cart for your team throughout the day. This year we are also offering a “lunch only” option for those who aren’t able to play golf on the day but would like to catch up with friends over lunch.
Breakfast is from 7 am with a shotgun start to commence at 8 am. It is expected all teams should have completed their rounds for lunch to commence at 1pm. This year’s format will be normal Ambrose. There are only a limited amount of Golf carts available for hire on the day for a charge of $45. A feature of the day will be a prize of $10,000 cash for a hole-in-one sponsored by Barrenjoey Insurance Brokers. There will also be prizes for longest drive (male and female) and nearest the pin (male and female). As in previous years, there will be a drinks and snacks cart on the course throughout the day.
