Youth Opportunity Makers Workshop for 15 to 17 year old Members

Surf Life Saving New South Wales (SLSNSW) is excited to invite nominations for the 2019/2020 Youth Opportunity Makers Workshop!

The workshop is geared towards creating greater awareness of opportunities and individual abilities in 15-17-year-old members. Branches are encouraged to use this workshop as a way of recognising members who have the potential to further develop skills by working with like-minded young members.

The workshop will be held from Tuesday 14th April to Thursday 16th April 2020, at The Collaroy Centre on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. SLSNSW will cover costs of flights, accommodation, meals and activities for those members attending the workshop.

Aims of the workshop include:

  • To create an awareness of current issues, pathways and opportunities
  • To promote teamwork, communication skills and goal setting
  • To develop confidence and self-esteem in a supportive environment whilst positively recognising members
